What are your actual strengths — things that energise you when you do them? What are your non-negotiables? What is your definition of professional success, in your own words?
2. Clarity about your situation
What is actually in the way of the career you want? Is it skills? Visibility? Relationships? Mindset? A structural problem in your organisation? The answer shapes the strategy entirely.
3. Clarity about your direction
Where do you want to go — specifically enough to describe your ideal professional life to someone in one clear paragraph? Most professionals have never done this.
